I agree 100%. I've brought this up before ............... Many years ago Huey Long was asked if fascism could ever take hold in America. "Sure", he said, "but they won't call it that."

It could be a Russian wrapped in an American flag and carrying a bible, that should about do it.

My prediction is: Americans will fight electric cars tooth and nail, you know, freedom and all that ! We'll hang onto gas cars just like we hung onto muscle cars in the 70's and then there came fuel efficient cars like the Honda Civic, while we were pumping out Dodge K cars and AMC's and every other ugly as sin 80's American car. Hopefully this time the American manufacturers won't drag their feet too long.

I take it for what it appears to be, which is the writings of a 1%'er who knows the truth of a system (which we choose to ignore) and is clearly demonstrating the underlying power structure of the "ruling class". "Common Sense Capitalists vs. Religious Capitalists" is a good one.

"Energy Independence" is the same bullshit line they use when talking about the benefits of PA's shale fracking. It won't happen, they don't want it to happen, it's a feel good tag line. And a lie.
Now, the frackers are extending pipelines in to Maryland, (Port Deposit ?) to EXPORT that same natural gas that was going to make us independent ! ?
