Ben Carson

Ben Carson stated that he would use the Department of Education to monitor speech on college campuses, and deny federal funding to schools that show "extreme political bias".

Somehow I don't think he's talking about rightward bias.

This guy is just a fountain of really horrible ideas.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Ben Carson

Wow!  Just wow.  So just how would this work?  He's going to create some kind of subsidiary committee within the Dept. of Ed. to oversee what's being taught by 100's of instructors in each of the thousands and thousands of post-secondary schools across America?  What the hell?

Re: Ben Carson

I think Carson will cobble a deal between the CIA, NRA, and local vigilante groups to develop highly trained and amply armed uniformed "school resource officers" with body cameras to be stationed at college campuses identified by Jesse Watters through his series of campus visits combined with edited student and faculty interviews. Those campuses deemed to have "extreme political bias" will be blanketed by these "school resource officers" in an effort to discourage those biased colleges and individuals resident on those campuses from disseminating those viewpoints. Authorized methods for combating this scourge of targeted extremist political rhetoric will include forceably dragging dissidents out of the lecture halls, use of flash gernades and tear gas to subjugate individuals or groups that oppose the duly sworn officers, relocation of dissidents to internment camps for the purpose of 'getting their minds right', frontal lobotomies performed by members of Dr. Carson's campaign staff, and torture.

A demure, smiling, laid back Ben Carson, when asked about the program by Neil Cavuto, quipped: "That ought to fix the problem".

Re: Ben Carson

Funny how these "small government" types want lots of government for their own sacred cows.
For a guy who worries so much about  Hitler,,,,,,,,,, OMG Ben!
You are going to empower the government to make support for Schools contingent on the speech that goes on there?
I wish some people who claim to love the Constitution would actually take some time to read it.

BTW, in addition to being completely ignorant of the Constitution, is Ben also ignorant of the fact that the GOP won't be in power forever. Think of it, after the Carson department of education purges liberal views from colleges, the next Democratic administration can return the favor by purging  conservative views.
Gee, that's the country I want to live in.

OMG, how can this man be so stupid.
Worst. Idea. Ever.
