Fox--I said "stone" fruit--the fruit with pits or stones. I get a few plums of different kinds, a couple of nectarines and a couple of small peaches--whatever stone fruits I can pile up in the qt.box.  The orchard sells stone fuits for $4.95 a box but they way they allow me to do it is to fill my own box with whatever fruits I want. I live alone and cannot eat large amounts of fruits before they begin to spoil and this way I can buy a variety of fruits that I know will be eaten and enjoyed.
