New Eagle Cam is Up

These pics are from the Eagle Lady's FB page.  The Game commission will test it for a week or so, then it will go online.

Here is the tree the nest is in.

Updates

December 17, 2015 – The Game Commission is pleased to be able to begin live streaming two cameras highlighting a bald eagle nest in Hanover, Pa. through a partnership with HDOnTap, Comcast Business, and the generosity of Friends of Codorus State Park, Codorus State Park and many others. Both cameras have audio and one camera has infra-red technology to offer viewing opportunities throughout the night. Two turtle shells are visible in the nest.

Enjoy! And be aware that nature is sometimes difficult to watch.

Eagle-eyed viewers of the Pennsylvania Game Commission's livestream caught a possible injury on one of the Hanover eagles Tuesday morning.Screen grabs show a scrape around one of the eagle's beaks near the nostril, said Codorus State Park volunteer Karen Lippy, who heard concerns about the injury from members of the Hanover, PA Eagle Cam Facebook group. Lippy then contacted area wildlife rehabilitators and the Pennsylvania Game Commission, who determined the injury likely is not serious.

The bird appears unfazed by the scrape, continuing to stop by the nest near Codorus State Park for a few minutes at a time to drop off sticks, said Travis Lau, spokesman for the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Hanover eagle eggs on the way? Some think so

Stick by stick, leaf by leaf, the Hanover eagles have slowly enhanced their nest in Heidelberg Township over the past few months. Those tuning in to the Pennsylvania Game Commission and HDOnTap's livestream of the nest have witnessed various modifications to the car-sized structure.

It's all in preparation for one of the most highly anticipated events of eagle cam season: egg-laying."I think we're close," said Karen Lippy, an avid eagle watcher.

Re: New Eagle Cam is Up

Where are the eagles when they're putting those cams in?

If you make yourself miserable trying to make others happy that means everyone is miserable.

Re: New Eagle Cam is Up

They put the cameras up well after the nest time is over. The eagles are not using the nest when they reset the cameras. Check the new camera out. It has sound now.
Hopefully we will have eggs soon.
