The politics of mass shootings has invaded my Facebook page, which I usually take great care to keep focused on family, travel, and cooking.
A gun enthusiast was haranguing me about my position on guns, along with all of the code words about liberals, the left, yada yada. At one point he even told me that I was blaming "inanimate objects" instead of making people take personal responsibility.
He even took the liberty of sharing this poster to my timeline.
You know, suggesting that those of us fed up with gun violence somehow blame the gun is one of the great lies of all time.
I can speak for myself, thank you. Here we go.
I realize that guns are inanimate objects, tools, and as such cannot be blamed for gun violence. (Let me add a resounding "DUH" to that sentence)
And, boy oh boy do I believe in personal responsibility. When an PERSON commits a crime with a gun, I hold that PERSON responsible. And, when that criminal is a child, mentally incompetent, or a convicted felon, I am going to hold the PERSONS responsible who make it ridiculously easy for the insane to get powerful weaponry.
We talk way too much about gun rights and too little about gun responsibilities
Thanks

It's sickening and disgusting. I've unfriended several people because of their rabid obsession with guns. and going after people who want reasonable laws. Some of these were people I've known for over 30 years. I don't know what possesses them and I don't want someone that toxic in my life.
Please excuse the following if it's offensive to you. I read something today that would be funny but sad if true. I don't know if it's true or not, but it said that it's easier to get a gun in Texas than a dildo.
