Several GOP lawmakers and Presidential hopefuls are warning the Pope to watch his words during his US visit. They suggest that the Pope confine his remarks to spiritual matters, and avoid political ones.
Let me guess. Abortion and same sex marriage are spiritual issues, while how we care for God's creation, or treat the poor are political issues.

They want the pope to tell them only what they want to hear.

I like the idea of potential elected lawmakers in America warning the Pope what he should or shouldn't talk about. That'll show the Church who is really running the show!
What a freakin' circus this is.

Maybe the Pope should test his teachings before focus groups of American conservatives to test their popularity before delivering them.
