Well, Jeb Bush has laid out his foreign policy:
In his first major foreign policy address, the likely 2016 Republican front-runner will make the case for increased military spending so America can "project power and enforce peaceful stability in far-off areas of the globe." He will also criticize President Barack Obama's foreign policy, calling it "inconsistent and indecisive."
"Having a military that is equal to any threat ... makes it less likely that we will need to put our men and women in uniform in harm’s way," Bush plans to tell attendees, adding that he believes "fundamentally, that weakness invites war… and strength encourages peace."

One would think that the last 14 years have impressed upon people the meager returns and hige costs involved in being the world's policemen.
I guess that Jeb is hoping that fear of ISIS will convince people otherwise.
God help us, we never learn.
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

A new Bush running for President will be a painful reminder of what created the current power vacuum in the Middle East that has precipitated a lot of what is happening right now.

The one that concerns me the most is Wolfowitz. Here's a low level cretin wonk that had been slithering his way around departments, bureaus, and "think" tanks in DC with his ill thought out mid-east plans hoping for someone to listen to his naive, ignorant concepts for the area. One day along comes two guys named Rumsfeld and Cheney who listen to Paul's "plan" and buy into it . . . Big time.
Time passes and Cheney and Rumsfeld weasel their way into power positions and drag Wolfy along with his "plan" into the inner circle. Finally, they get a guy in the White House gullible enough to buy this plan hook, line, and sinker and attack Iraq.
And here we are today.
