I'm beginning to wonder now if Donald Trump isn't the face of the 'new version' of' Republican party. I mean I thought this guy would just fizzle and fade away by now, but it seems no matter what he says or does, he just keeps picking up steam among the faithful tribal membership.
The mere fact this guy is still around is stunning. Not only that, but it seems his competitors nuzzle up to him to stay in the race. Absolutely fascinating dynamic going on here. I guess using fear, anger, and hate as building blocks to put together a political party says it must work?
If Donald Trump becomes the flag bearer and face of the tribe, I can't help but think we have become a democracy in name only.

I hear Chuck Todd say he thinks after the last debate, we are seeing the unraveling of Trump's candidacy. He thought Trump was the big loser and made a terrible showing. Of course these beltway people live in a bubble and believe their own spin....

Trump will not make it past New Hampshire. I just don't see him having the organization to get people to the polls.

You might be right, Lager. But, then what? From the start, I predicted a Bush-Walker ticket, but now I'm not so sure in light of the circus I've been watching over the last few weeks.

This prediction is certainly subject to change, but I think we end up with a Rubio/Carly ticket.

It's been the summer of angry, embittered guys.
The republicans need more than that

Boy, Walker had a terrible summer.
As someone observed, "he's managed to be on three sides of every issue".
Not ready for prime time.
