Personally, I don't think the rape allegations will do much to Trump beacause the whole story seems a bit hazy and ex-wife Ivanka seemed to have back-pedaled shortly after the divorce.
I think the bigger part of the story is Trump's representative/lawyer saying that a husband can't rape a spouse (which is by law, factually incorrect) and threatening to sue/destroy the reporter covering the story.
Here's my prediction: At next week's GOP debate, you are going to see 9 presidential candidates tag-team to destroy Donald Trump's chances to stay in the race past September.

We can't let the Trumpster flame out yet. Too much fun having him around.

I'm bored with the Trump story. His rhetoric is contemptable, and he has zero chance of winning the primary, much less the general election. He's pretty much being used by a media looking for a summer political story to drive up page views and fill up precious hours of cable news dead space.
The quicker he exits the scene, the better.

Ditto. Not only is Trump's rhetoric contemptible, is is also empty. He has no detailed ideas for the country. He just loves the attention. Trump has made the race more petty, embarrassing, and empty, in a race that sure didn't need any "help" in that regard.
I am disappointed in my countrymen. They seem to prefer bombast to ideas, And they can't seem to tell the difference between someone telling the truth and someone who just lies boldly.
FWIW, I think we've reached peak Trump.
Now, if only his departure would lead to serious discussion rather than the next circus act

Wasn't this an issue ten or fifteen years ago?
And did anything this court jester actually had a chance?

You guys are probably right. I was just thinking how the R-tribe created this monster, and now having to deal with him. I just imagined how much fun those meetings must be. The RNC must be going nuts, and the leadership must be be wondering, "What have we done"?
BTW, a recent poll showed that Bernie Sanders would beat all of the R-Tribe wannabes if the election were held today.

Bernie deserves to win over these guys.
The sad thing is, Huckabee and Cruz have been watching. They are now aping Trump in an effort to get his angry followers once the Trump Freak show collapses. Don't expect anything statesman-like from them.

Repubs aren't very good at handling the subject of rape. I don't think this story will bother them or their base. It's very hard to convince them that there is a crime of rape.
What's interesting, I heard someone say this smells of Karl Rove. They speculated that this is so "Karl Roveian" to bring up forgotten dirt from the past to smear your opponent. Rove and company want Trump out of the race.

Good point, florentine. I forgot about how John McCain got zapped by Karl Rove in South Carolina during the 2000 campaign to give GW a boost.

Is Hillary Clinton still in the running?
Off topic, I know, sorry.
