The only scenario where I would ever vote for Donald Trump would be if it were a choice between Trump and Hillary Clinton. Between those two, I would only vote for Trump because at least he tells the truth and has achieved some success in his life.
The only things good about Trump are that he says what he wants/feels, and doesn't issue fake apologies. I wish the other candidates on both sides were like that, but none of them are, they just say the things that their party expects them to say. And, he is using his own money, so he owes no favors and preferential treatment to special interests like unions, corporations, etc.
He will be entertaining to watch in a debate or two before he goes way, for sure.

You don't consider being elected to the U.S. Senate, being the Secretary of State, and amassing a net worth of over $10 million to be "some success"?
Admittedly it's not up there with starring in the apprentice or hosting a beauty pageant, but give the woman a little respect.

No, she only got any of that because of who she is married to. Hillary is a whacko, in my humble opinion. As much as Trump is unelectable, Hillary Clinton is 10X so.

I disagree. We may not like her, but she has achieved a pretty amazing resume.
As far as electability, I see a path for Clinton that is much more probable than for Trump.
After all, who is going to stop her from getting the democratic nomination? The worst candidate in the world will get at least 44% of the vote with a major party nomination in her pocket. That's the way the system, unfortunately, works.

I respectfully disagree. I really, really dislike Hillary Clinton, and I can't name one thing she's ever been good at (besides lying) or achieved without the aid of having the last name of Clinton. Trump is an idiot, for sure, but at least he isn't a flip-flopping, lying, pandering to special interests idiot.

You don't think that Trump is pandering, or playing it up? I don't see any authenticity in the man. He cares about no one but Donald Trump. A barking, carnival huckster
As for electability, I'm not necessarily saying what I want to happen, but what I think is likely.
Give me till November 2016, and I'll eat crow if necessary

Oh absolutely he's playing it up, going for shock value, he's got some opportunity in mind from all of this. But, he doesn't say what is expected of him to say by anyone, and he sticks by what he says, no apologizing, which is always insincere, and flip flopping like all of the other politicians do. I wish all politicians would actually say what they believe and stick by their words.
And pandering? He may be pandering to himself. He's paying for his campaign with his own money (which I think ALL politicians should be required to do), so no, he's not pandering to special interest groups like corporations, unions, or what have you.
Basically, in my mind, Trump is an example of how all politicians should be, minus the batshit crazy rhetoric.

Today trump threatens a third party run, not if he isn't in ideological agreement with the nominee, but if he isn't treated with 'respect'.
Trump will blow up the party for his own ego.
Nice

I actually like Bernie Sanders for the most part. I think he's a little out there on how much taxes people who are wealthy should pay, but overall I agree with his views on most things, and he's a straight shooter, no BS type, says what he feels. It's just too bad that he labels himself as a socialist. We all know that that alone does him in. Both major parties will beat him over the head with that.

I'd like to see Trump and Sanders both run on third party tickets. Throw a wrench into this R and D political machine.
