Oh Dear

Has anybody told Mike Huckabee?

Scott Walker tells supporters: ‘I am certain’ my 2016 presidential run ‘is God’s plan for me’

Re: Oh Dear

There really wasn't much chance that I was going to vote for this guy anyway.

But, when a man is so arrogant that he confuses his own ambitions with the will of God?
Gimme a break!

Re: Oh Dear

I don't doubt that it might be God's plan that he run.

I do doubt that it be God's plan that he win.

Re: Oh Dear

Yes, part II of God's plan might be a humuliating defeat.

Re: Oh Dear

Oh, geez, here we go again.  Well, if it's god's plan, why should we even go through the motions of a primary and a general election.  Who are we mortals to challenge god?

The translation being "god's plan for me is to suck-up to the christian conservative bloc early"

The weird thing about Walker is that if you listen to his standard stump speech, he seems like a fairly reasonable guy with some moderate, albeit conservative ideas for the country.

But his over the top rhetoric around what God wants him to do and how he loves America more than anyone else is a major turnoff. It seems so forced and inauthentic. I think he'll be shown to be a phony as we move along in the process.

That said, he does seem to speak the language of the a large swath of the upper Midwest. Therefore, I think he wil place well in Iowa and woudn't be completely surprised if he wins the Iowa caucus.

Re: Oh Dear

Maybe he confused 'god's plan' with the 'Koch Brother's plan'?  Just sayin' because he seems to be their chosen one.

Re: Oh Dear

Inauthentic is my read of Walker.
I see an ambition more pronounced than any ideology. I see an interest in personal advancement that eclipses any investment in personal growth.

Walker may present himself as an outsider. But, he’s a political lifer, with a résumé and worldview that are almost nothing but politics.

Re: Oh Dear

Hard to generate any real interest in any of the ones I have heard thus far. But, it is still a long way till 2016.
