    We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

    I loved him and now miss him on PBS.  One day a good number of years ago I was in the parking lot of the McLean, VA Giant and heard this voice, looked up and there this towering of a man stood, halfway in and halfway out of his car, talking to someone a few cars away.  There was no mistaking who I was looking at and hearing.
