Self reflection? Absolutely. I'm sure most police officers self reflect a lot. Any fault in the Freddie Gray case? I don't know yet. The officers have been arrested and will get a fair trial, like everyone else would. We'll find out.
So, why the work slow down by police?
Why not keep Baltimore safe while the process works itself out?

Because the city leadership has further fostered an attitude of not welcoming police into neighborhoods. If I were a cop, and my mayor and city council didn't have my back, I wouldn't want to work for them either.

There was just an NPR piece about that exact thing from May 3rd.
