I do like the fact that Merry uses the criteria of the consequences of a president's actions for the nation to evaluate them. It's a very refreshing contrast to other such "evaluations" that seem to focus on one's personal dislike for a President.
This definitely takes things up a few notches intellectually.

The U. S. has had its share of bad presidents but I grew up always knowing that Herbert Hoover was our worst leader. As a child that's what my elders always said and I always believed this. Historians will continue to write about and to rate our political leaders til the end of time.
