I don't see why people would have to prove to anyone that they "care" about one type of violence before we will express some concern and empathy for police violence.

So, breaking a petty criminal's neck during a routine transport is a "mistake"?
That's inventive.
Spin, spin ,spin......................
You did not read the very short story. But you do have a way to make things up!
“What is happening, there is a lot of levels of confusion in the police organization. There are people who have pain, there are people who are hurt, there are people who are frustrated, there are people who are angry,” Batts said. “There are people, and they’ve said this to me, `If I get out of my car and make a stop for a reasonable suspicion that leads to probable cause but I make a mistake on it, will I be arrested?’ They pull up to a scene and another officer has done something that they don’t know, it may be illegal, will they be arrested for it? Those are things they are asking.”

Please refrain from attacking other posters.
Why would these officers fear being arrested?

Bingo........ The false statement Hands up Dont' shoot have made it all but impossible for the 99% of police officer's who do a good job for us to do their job!

Officers all over the country are doing their jobs.
The findings of police misconduct hurt bad police officers, as they should.

Excellent point. Let's not forget that we are all gentlemen and ladies.
