    We'll always have bigots.
    But, that does not mean that we should grow numb to them. They deserve our disdain.

    We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

    Said the reckless jerk that jumped the fence surrounding the lion's den at the zoo and began poking the lions with a pointed stick.

    Then, after the lions pretty much ripped him to shreds, he tried to sue the zoo for not properly containing the dangerous lions.

    I would suggest a counter-protest. One advocating for us to love our neighbors, and to condemn bigotry.
    What do you think?

    Who knows, maybe that might reduce the possibility of a confrontation.  One would hope this counter-protest would include both Christians and Islamists who denounce the hate from both sides.

    Guess it goes to the issue of "free speech and expression". 

    By in large, we usually bend over backwards to allow it and it has been usually upheld as such when it gets to the SCOTUS.

    We should strive for that personally, but we certainly shouldn't censor it.

    I would recomend taking steps to avoid violence at this event. And to teach our children how ugly bigotry and intolerance are.
    But, people have a right to be bigots. They have a right to be racists. They have a right to be idiots.
