Hey, you have to have your priorities when it comes to going out in the rain.

And now, Today:
World Leaders Walk near the Arc de Triomphe to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I.
Missing are Donald Trump and Putin.
Trump arrived later in his own motorcade citing 'security'.
Pussy.

"They died with their face to the foe and that pathetic inadequate @realDonaldTrump couldn't even defy the weather to pay his respects to the Fallen", Nicholas Soames, member of Parliment and grandson of Winston Churchill. That pretty much sums up the attitude of European leaders when it comes to the disrespect Trump has shown to fallen heroes.

Security of the COC has to come first.
If the weather was IFR and contraindicative for helicopter flight, so be it.
The 20/20 of hindsight says that there should have been a contingency plan for a motorcade but those require massive security arranged days in advance...hard enough in your own country but next to impossible on foreign soil.
Nevertheless, it looks VERY bad.
the Lockheed Martin VH-71 is outfitted with state-of-the-art defensive measures, secure communications, and crash survivability fuselage design. On-board encrypted videoconferencing capabilities will now allow the President to hold virtual meetings with military advisors, senior politicians, and other world leaders.
Though the full-spectrum of security features is not being publicly disseminated, a general overview of some key features has been released. The new Marine One helicopter will feature the latest in radar warning receivers, incoming laser detection, and counter-measures to help evade a surface-to-air or air-to-air missile attack.
But, according to the Trump staff, it can’t fly 50 miles in drizzling rain, with some fog and light winds. When I was in the Navy 45 years ago, we flew in worse conditions, in older less equipped helos many times. President bone spurs lacks that kind of experience, commitment, and compassion.
What a backhanded way to revere military veterans all over the world on this Veterans Day.

Oh, now we see it wasn't Trump's fault (what ever is?). It was the Secret Service!
President Donald Trump placed full blame for his canceled visit to a World War I cemetery in France over the weekend on the Secret Service, claiming that he suggested driving after it was deemed unsafe to take the presidential chopper during rainy weather but that the Secret Service said "NO."

President bone spurs also was a no-show for Veterans Day commemoration at Arlington National Cemetary on Monday, March 12, 2018. Instead, Trump stayed holed up in the White House tweeting about cheating in elections and degrading his perceived “enemies”.
