The Senate Should Not Confirm Kavanaugh Signed, 2,400+ Law Professors

Quite a number of people are coming forward to ask the Senators NOT to allow Kavanaugh to become a Supreme Court Justice NOT based upon the issue of sexual assault credibility or even his possible drinking issues, but rather his demeanor displayed during his confirmation hearing.

Here is just a part of their letter

Judicial temperament is one of the most important qualities of a judge. As the Congressional Research Service explains, a judge requires “a personality that is even-handed, unbiased, impartial, courteous yet firm, and dedicated to a process, not a result.” The concern for judicial temperament dates back to our founding; in Federalist 78, titled “Judges as Guardians of the Constitution,” Alexander Hamilton expressed the need for “the integrity and moderation of the judiciary.”

Additionally retired Supreme Court Justice Stevens who initially supported Kavanaugh has changed his mind also basically for the same reason.

I felt that Kavanaugh’s performance was disqualifying. He doesn’t have the proper demeanor.

There are plenty of conservative judges to choose from. Find a better candidate

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Could not agree more.

It is almost a certainty that Kavanaugh will make the confirmation vote and become a Supreme Court Justice.

How he rules will remain to be seen.

It may be a win for the GOP, but I fret that win will only further divide the citizenry and wish they had nominated someone other than him.
