In a tweet that’s been criticized, Trump said “the GDP Rate (4.2%) is higher than the Unemployment Rate (3.9%) for the first time in over 100 years!”
In fact, it’s been only since the George W. Bush administration — in 2006 — that the rate of change in GDP has been higher than the unemployment rate. And GDP frequently outstripped the unemployment rate in the Clinton administration.

He gets away with it because very few people would take the time to fact-check him. All he had to say was the GDP rate is higher than the unemployment rate, period. But, no. He has to add that it's 'the first time in over 100 years' to make it sound like he's a big deal. What an insecure human being he is.
