NY GOP Congressman Chris Collins suspends campaign amid insider trading allegations
GOP Rep. Chris Collins, one of President Donald Trump's earliest backers in Congress, suspended his reelection campaign on Saturday, in the wake of insider trading allegations that resulted in his dramatic arrest this week and may derail his entire career.
Only days ago, the congressman — who's ensnared in a case involving the sale of stock on information that was not made public — was vowing to run for another term, calling the charges "meritless."
Yet in a statement on Saturday, the embattled New York Republican who represents the state's 27th Congressional district said that "after extensive discussions with my family and my friends over the last few days, I have decided that it is in the best interests of the constituents of NY-27, the Republican Party and President Trump's agenda for me to suspend my campaign for re-election to Congress."
Representative Duncan Hunter Is Indicted, Accused of Misusing Campaign Funds
WASHINGTON — Representative Duncan Hunter was indicted by a federal grand jury in San Diego on Tuesday after a monthslong criminal investigation into allegations that he spent tens of thousands of dollars in campaign funds on family trips to Hawaii and Italy, private school tuition for his children and even a $600 airline ticket for a pet rabbit.
In a 48-page indictment released by the Justice Department, Mr. Hunter, Republican of California, and his wife, Margaret, are charged with converting more than $250,000 in campaign funds to pay for personal expenses and filing false campaign finance records with the Federal Election Commission.

But the big question is where is Trump and Hillary?
He is the president of the United States and Hillary is lost in the New York woods!
Just the way it should be.

Yea, common, as we deal with the fact that the President's Campaign manager, personal Lawyer and first national security advisor have all been Convicted of, or plead guilty to felonies,,,,,
,,,,, let's all take a moment to be thankful that we didn't give the power of the presidency to someone who once used a personal email address to send a work email.
