DHS Secretary Nielsen 'not aware' of intel report on Russian meddling in election
WASHINGTON — Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen drew criticism from Democrats on Tuesday when she said she was unaware of the intelligence community's finding that Russia had interfered in the 2016 presidential election in support of Donald Trump.
"I do not believe that I've seen that conclusion that the specific intent was to help President Trump win. I'm not aware of that,” she told reporters after briefing House members about ongoing election security threats.
Nielsen's comments put her at odds with the Intelligence Community Assessment released in January 2017, which concluded Russia meddled in the US election and aimed to boost Trump's campaign at the expense of Clinton's.

Intelligence Community Assessment, released in January of 2017.
"We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US
presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process,
denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess
Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump."

While it MIGHT have been credible for her to assert that perhaps other conclusions have been reached, it is TOTALLY DISTURBING that she would NOT have been aware at all of this report which was compiled (as it says) from a joint collaboration of the Intelligence Agencies.
What the H--- is she there for if she does not at least have this basic understanding ??

”UNAWARE” seems to be a prerequisite trait for all advisors of the Trump administration.
