Did anyone happen to see the debate on WGAL Friday? I am not allowed to vote in any primary due to the fact that I am a registered independent voter and no independents are running for Governor.
Mango and Wagner continued their sniping at one another and, despite the question asked, merely deflected and managed to change the subject and spout their campaign slogans along with criticizing governor Wolf, Barack Obama, and even Hillary Clinton. It is clear that both guys have taken a chapter from the Trump campaign playbook strategy of talking about their success in business, ultra conservative politics, and casting blame on democrats (any democrats) for all the problems in the world. And if Mango said it once, he said it a dozen times about his graduation from West Point and his military service as if that experience somehow qualifies him for running the state government. Neither one of them provided ANY specific plans, remedies or solutions for all they deem as wrong with our state. The best they could do was say they talked to some people and saw the need for future “discussions” to further talk about those problems.
On the other hand, Laura Ellsworth provided direct answers and outlined some plans she had devised that might be utilized to remedy some problem areas. While I don’t agree with some of her right wing positions on certain subjects, at least her campaign hasn’t been solely based on negativism like Mango and Wagner. If republican voters want a reasonably qualified candidate to oppose governor Wolf this fall, Ellsworth seems to be a better person than either one of the abrasive Trump mini-me’s they have in Mango or Wagner.

I only saw the first one a week or so ago.
Easy choice .... Ellsworth was MUCH more prepared and competent than EITHER of her other Republican contenders.
