A gunshot accidentally fired through the wall of a house critically injured a 38-year-old woman lying in bed next door, Lancaster police say.
A woman was shot in the head in a home in the 200 block of East Liberty Street around 11 p.m. Sunday, police said Monday. She was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
A 25-year-old male neighbor called 911 to say he accidentally fired his gun inside his home, and the shot went through the wall, striking a woman next door, police said. The man is cooperating with police, no charges have been filed so far and the investigation is continuing.
