Roy Moore thinks that it was the Fifties
Yea, lots of people think so.
Oh wait, Roy meant the Eighteen Fifties.
ROY MOORE: LAST TIME AMERICA WAS 'GREAT' WAS DURING 'SLAVERY'
At a campaign event earlier this year, an audience member asked Moore for his opinion on when the last time America was "great." Moore responded: "I think it was great at the time when families were united—even though we had slavery—they cared for one another…Our families were strong, our country had a direction."
So, the last time America was great was NOT the era in which we granted civil rights to African Americans.
The last time America was great was NOT when we saved the world from fascism.
The last time America was great - according to Roy Moore - was when nearly 4 million people were kept in bondage in this land.
"Families were united". Well, with the exception of those families broken up on the auction block.
Roy Moore is unfit to serve,,,,, for so many reasons.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Roy Moore Slams America, Says ‘Maybe Putin Is Right’
Roy Moore, the Republican candidate from Alabama vying for the U.S. Senate, once slammed the United States for promoting “a lot of bad things,” and praised Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In an interview over the summer that’s getting renewed attention this week, The Guardian quoted President Ronald Reagan as once calling the Soviet Union “the focus of evil in the modern world.” Reagan made the comment during his “evil empire” speech in 1983.
“You could say that very well about America, couldn’t you?” Moore said. “We promote a lot of bad things.”
Moore then cited same-sex marriage as an example.
When questioned about the fact that Putin held similar views, Moore gave an unconventional answer for an American politician.
“Well, then maybe Putin is right,” Moore said. “Maybe he’s more akin to me than I know.”
