I agree.
Many of rank and file republican voters stick with trump out of misplaced party loyalty, or they sold their souls for the promise of tax cuts.
But members of congress are silent because they fear being primaried by some batshit crazy guy that the trumpers love. And, while trump isn't very popular over all, he retains the loyalty of republican primary voters of the lunatic fringe
