What if?

I see where Jerry Jones (owner of the Dallas Cowboys) has said any player who doesn't stand for the National Anthem will be benched.  Imagine if every black player on his team didn't stand.  Now THAT would be an interesting game to watch wouldn't it?

Re: What if?

I’m going to say that Jerry would relinquish if many of his star players take a knee. In the end Jerry, just like Donald, is a businessman and won’t want to see the value of his franchise diminished. If the Cowboys start losing games regularly and the players (his employees) decide to not put forth their best effort due to oppressive actions by their boss Jerry, and the fans stop showing up at the huuuuuge stadium Jerry built (with a lot of taxpayer money), then the value of the Dallas Cowboys franchise would lessen as well as Jerry’s net worth. I don’t think Jerry would swallow that . . . I think he’d swallow his pride (without admitting it) first. Money means more to Jerry than just about anything else.

Re: What if?

When is Trump going to fix those ugly Ravens uniforms?
And, I'm not particularly happy with the designated hitter rules in MLB.
Fix it Donald. You ARE the President, after all.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: What if?

Maybe it was Trump’s complete failure as owner of the New Jersey Generals of the defunct USFL that gave him this unnatural grudge against the NFL. Maybe he’s been carrying this grudge inside him since the 1980’s and it has finally exploded. You know how he hates to lose and made to look like a fool. Here is some background on Trump’s failure as a sports impresario:

The whole thing from the league and the owners is ONLY about money. Jones is worth about approx. $5 Billion and of that the value of the franchise is $4+ Billion.

Hard to say how this whole thing will pan out, but make no mistake the biggest factor is the $$$ rather than players rights or disrespect to the flag.
