52% of Republicans in a recent poll would favor postponing the 2020 election if Trump asked for it to "ensure that only eligible people voted"

These are the same folks who tear up when talking about the Founders, Freedom, the Constitution, and our American exceptionalism.

Parisian nonsense on both accounts!
The Washington Post survey interviewed a sample of 1,325 Americans from June 5-20, with the focus on 650 respondents who identify with or lean toward the Republican Party. The Washington Post noted that the poll only measures opinion of “a hypothetical situation” and neither Trump nor anyone in his administration has suggested postponing the election.
A comparable poll by WPA Research found last year that a majority of Democrats would have supported canceling the 2016 election if it meant President Barack Obama could have served a third term, according to The Hill.
Majority of Democrats want third term for Obama

What a relief.
Could you share some polling data that contradicts the findings of the WaPo poll?
BTW, no one reported that the Trump administartion suggested (Yet) that the election be postponed.
It is a known hypothetical and was presented as such.

I WOULD point out that Trump HAS postured that more than 3 Million votes were illegally cast and this poll more or less reflect the unfounded belief that many GOPers believe in that very thing, WHERAS the other poll was more reflecting popularilty.

In other words, the two polls are an apples to oranges comparison.

The real takeaway from this poll is that 47% of republicans believe that trump won the popular vote.
Amazing
