A snap shot. From a low range around 42%, a high range of about 59% and now about 50%
Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove. This is the first time the president’s overall approval rating has been back in the 50s in nearly a month. Just after his inauguration, Trump’s job approval peaked at 59% and remained in the 50s every day until early March. It’s gone as low as 42% since then.

Rasmussen, historically not the most accurate polling.
Average approval rating for Trump in most recent polling: Approve -- 42, Disapprove -- 50, Undecided -- 8

Pretty dismal numbers.
A presidency has a "sell by" date after which is becomes very difficult for him to gain the support of those who were lukewarm or cold to him.
In my opinion Donald Trump wasted too much time and political capital doubling down on tactics he used during the campaign. He stayed in election mode for far too long. So, Trump kept his base energized at the expense of sacrificing a chance to gain widespread support.
He is a divisive figure who will remain a divisive figure.
Maybe the advantages enjoyed by being an incumbent win him a second term, but Donald Trump will never accomplish much that is lasting.

Usually after a military intervention any president or leader sees an approval uptick. It's happened many times before. The scary thing about this guy is after seeing when the approval poll numbers begin to fall over time it will be time to do it again.

Trump falls to an all time low in the traditionally Trump-friendly Rasmussen poll.
41% approval.
Fifty-nine percent (59%) disapprove.
The latest figures for Trump include 25% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 49% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -24.
On January 26, the President enjoyed a 59% approval number in this same poll.
I don't think that Trump's bizarre and offensive behavior is what is hurting him.
I think that it is Trump's complete incompetence. Trump has no idea how to advance legislation or an agenda. He has no idea how to lead.
Trump simply does not know how to do this job.

And, I'm sure some of the people he has surrounded himself with are beginning to have an impact, too.

Yep, when Rasmussen polls are low, you know it is really bad. This is ALWAYS the go-to poll for sites like Breitbart, Fox, etc.
The site fivethirthyeight.com has a good overall representation of polls on the Presidents popularity.

Even previously friendly media outlets are turning on the Trump administration . . .
Will they soon be labeled "fake news" also?

Did anyone else notice there was nothing on the poll that said he has a 50% approval rating?
I saw 41% approval with a much higher percentage who do not approve.
Are all of his supporters doing this? 41 and 50 are fairly close together?
I've always found it best to find out the details about a survey before crowing about the results.
If you survey a thousand people and 1/4 of them say they approve it's 25%
If you survey four people and one of them says they approve it's 25%
In other words, you can make a survey say anything you like. It all comes down to how many people were involved and where they come from.
Understand?

True. All polls have inherent weaknesses and biases.
That's why I like daily tracking polls.
They do the same poll every day. So, whatever weakness there is in the poll should be there every day, a constant.
With the biases being constant, you can focus on the Trends.
