This is turning into a comical mess. Yesterday her office announced it has "let go" a senior prosecutor via office re-structuring, who by the way just happened to be a key witness against Kane in the grand jury perjury case. From all accounts, he was a well-respected and outstanding lawyer. The judge in the grand jury case is looking into whether this firing was a retaliatory action for the prosecutor being let go.
Her chief of staff resigned after 4 months less than a week ago.
Today, her 6th chief of staff in less than 2 years resigned, after only being on the job for 2 months.
No offense Tennyson, but I hope she doesn't stick it out to the end. Unfortunately I voted for her and boy do I regret that. She needs to resign now.

None taken. I just believe that if a person wants to stick it out (right or wrong) then they should do it since that is their right. The political side of it and wheter she should resign for the benefit of the party or Pennsylvania (or whatever) I will leave to others to argue that one way or another. Actually if you think about it, if she resigns the whole thing will see less light of day than if it contines on. At least this way a lot will come out into the open.

I am not sure who is making the decisions in the AG’s office?
Just from an appearance issue this is terrible!
“An office spokeswoman described Mr. Barker’s ouster as part of a broader reorganization in the agency and said it had “absolutely nothing” to do with his testimony. Mr. Barker has said he was unaware of any restructuring or told why he was dismissed.”

HARRISBURG — The judge presiding over the investigation into alleged leaks by Attorney General Kathleen Kane said Thursday that he will look into Ms. Kane’s firing this week of a top aide who had testified against her.In a brief interview, Judge William R. Carpenter declined to discuss his inquiry or possible sanctions but made clear that an order he had issued last fall to protect witnesses in the case from retaliation or harassment had not expired.“The protective order is still in place,” he said.Judge Carpenter spoke a day after Ms. Kane fired James Barker, a longtime prosecutor and the chief deputy attorney general for appeals and legal services. An office spokeswoman described Mr. Barker’s ouster as part of a broader reorganization in the agency and said it had “absolutely nothing” to do with his testimony. Mr. Barker has said he was unaware of any restructuring or told why he was dismissed.

The biggest knock against her in the extensive profile the Philadelphia Inquirer did last Sunday was that she's just in over her head at this level of government.
She obviously had great connections to get elected (she had Bill Clinton campaign for her) and by most accounts she's a good prosecutor and good person. She just seems to be overmatched in executing her job both from a tactical and strategic sense.
There is no denying that she's had another bad week.

Going down hill fast..........
Pa. AG Kathleen Kane must explain prosecutors firing, judge says
HARRISBURG - A new legal front opened for Attorney General Kathleen Kane on Friday after a judge said she must explain whether her firing of a prosecutor violated his order not to retaliate against witnesses in an investigation of an alleged leak of secret grand jury information. The order by Montgomery County Judge William Carpenter, who oversaw the grand jury investigation, came two days after Kane's office fired a prosecutor who had testified before the panel. The grand jury recommended in January that Kane be charged with perjury, obstruction, false swearing and official oppression stemming from allegations that her office gave secret investigative material to a newspaper last year. Its written report has not been disclosed publicly and Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman is looking into its findings. Kane has said she is not guilty of leaking secret information.

This is becoming the neverending saga........
HARRISBURG (WPVI) -- Sources tell Action News that search warrants were served at two offices of Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane.
They were served Friday afternoon at Kane's Harrisburg and Norristown offices.
Sources say the warrants were seeking unspecified records and other information.
Action News was told 'No comment' when we asked for more details.
Calls to Kane's offices have not been returned.
This is just the latest in Kane's legal saga.
Also on Friday, a judge said she must explain whether her firing of a prosecutor violated his order not to retaliate against witnesses in an investigation of an alleged leak of secret grand jury information.
Carpenter set an April 27 hearing for Kane to appear before him. The attorney general's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
James Barker was abruptly fired Wednesday after six years at the attorney general's office, where he was in charge of the office's criminal appeals cases and grand juries. Barker said he had had no disciplinary issues during his time in the office.
But the attorney general's office said Thursday that Barker's firing came amid a restructuring of his unit, and cited "supervisory accountability" amid news reports on cases about matters before a grand jury that were supposed to be kept secret. The office has not referred to any particular leaks or cases.
Barker said he should have been covered by Carpenter's protective order issued Sept. 17 that was designed to shield witnesses from retaliation.

Where do you see it was the porngate judge?
It is the judge who was in charge of the grand jury that investigated her for leaking grand jury information to the press. The judge clearly gave instructions that there should be no retaliatory action taken against anyone who testified against her. So when she fires someone who testified against her, she has to explain to him why this isn't retaliation.
She is clearly over-matched and unable to handle this position.

It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one.
