Washington Post: Sessions discussed Trump campaign with Russian ambassador, per intel intercepts
Washington (CNN)Attorney General Jeff Sessions met with the Russian Ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak to discuss Trump campaign matters during the 2016 presidential election, according to US intelligence intercepts, The Washington Post reports.
According to the Post, Kislyak told his superiors in Moscow about two conversations he had with Sessions, which included a discussion on policy issues important to the Kremlin. Sessions was a foreign policy adviser to Trump and major campaign supporter at the time.
Sessions originally never disclosed any interactions he had with Kislyak, but a meeting first came to light in March when the Post reported that he met with Kislyak at an event during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Sessions met with Kislyak for a second time during the presidential campaign, this time in his Senate office in Washington. This meeting, in September, also wasn't publicly known until the Post reported about it in March.
Sessions did not disclose either meeting when he applied for his security clearance. He also did not mention it when he was asked about contact with Russians during his Senate confirmation hearings earlier this year. Sessions denied any campaign-related meetings with Russians at the confirmation hearings, saying, "I did not have communications with the Russians."

Donald Trump is upset.
Yep, mad as hell.
No, he isn't angry that the Attorney general met with the Russian Ambassador to discuss (Collude) with the Russians in the 2016.
He isn't angry that Sessions lied to the US Senate.
No, Trump is angry that The American People found out about it.
I guess that if a damaging story that cannot be dismissed as "Fake News", it is an "Illegal Leak".
Trump slams 'illegal' leak alleging Sessions discussed campaign with Russian envoy
President Trump on Saturday morning blasted a Washington Post article based on U.S. intelligence reports claiming Attorney General Jeff Sessions discussed Trump campaign issues with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S.
Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak recounted two such conversations with Sessions to his superiors in Moscow. Kislyak’s version of events was intercepted by U.S. spy agencies that monitor Russian communications, according to the Post.

Just another garbage story from the post. The Washington Post who has made attacking the Trump Administration their mission. A truly nothing story. A rehashing of nothing!
"Officials emphasized that the information contradicting Sessions comes from U.S. intelligence on Kislyak’s communications with the Kremlin, and acknowledged that the Russian ambassador could have mischaracterized or exaggerated the nature of his interactions."
“Obviously I cannot comment on the reliability of what anonymous sources describe in a wholly uncorroborated intelligence intercept that the Washington Post has not seen and that has not been provided to me,” said Sarah Isgur Flores, a Justice Department spokeswoman in a statement. She reiterated that Sessions did not discuss interference in the election.

Drip, Drip, Drip .... just one more revelation about the Trump Administration.

Let's let Mueller do his job, and it will all come out when the dust settles. Trump will, or will not, defend Sessions depending on which position suits his own family business purposes.

.
If it's just a nothing story, and a "rehashing", then why is the President of the United States wasting his Saturday morning angrily tweeting about it?
AND he refers to it as "New", no less.
Something is there.
Anyway, it looks like a new dismissive term has been coined.
I guess that "Garbage story" is the new "Fake News".
