NEWTOWN > Sen. Scott Wagner, R-28, of York County, spoke out against current legislative decisions in Harrisburg saying decisions where politicians make decisions based on special interest must end."We need more men and women in Harrisburg who are willing to make tough decisions," Wagner said.He spoke in front of a room filled of members from Delaware County Patriots at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Newtown Square Monday night. Many were wondering what they could do to help him push his ideas forward in the county.According to Wagner, some of those tough decisions include addressing the state's growing pension issue, eliminating prevailing wages for school districts, pushing for paycheck protection and liquor privatization. He urged members to educate themselves on issues at hand, including pension benefits. The York senator is known for his heavy criticism Delaware County's Sens. Dominic Pileggi, R-9, of Chester, and Tom McGarrigle, R-26, of Springfield. He previously called Pileggi the "No. 1 obstacle in the Senate" when Pileggi sat as senate majority leader, and criticized McGarrigle for opposing SB 501, which bars the state from collection union members' dues for political campaigns. When asked why invite a senator outside of Delaware County, the organization's executive board member Lisa Esler said legislators from the county "stifled issues" and it's better to get an outside perspective on Harrisburg's problems ultimately plaguing the county.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,”  former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”
