President Donald Trump warned that the special counsel investigation into alleged links between his 2016 campaign and Russia's election hacking "hurts our country" after earlier branding the probe the "single greatest witch hunt" in political history.
"I believe it hurts our country terribly, because it shows we're a divided, mixed-up, not-unified country," Trump said at a luncheon with a group of television news anchors.
"And we have very important things to be doing right now, whether it's trade deals, whether it's military, whether it's stopping nuclear -- all of the things that we discussed today. And I think this shows a very divided country," Trump said.

There is NOTHING prevent him and Congress from working on the other issues. The PROBLEM is that they themselves are divided on MOST if NOT ALL of the things like spending, tax cuts, infrastructure, and health care and are going to be a slow, long schlog and likely NOT what was "promised" during the campaign.

Trump is either naive, inept, or just plain stupid in that he is unable to recognize the fact that his actions and comments are the root cause of the problems that plague his administration.

Ironic to have the chief divider, and beneficiary of division, complaining that our country is fractured.

As part of President Trump's effort to unite the nation he alleged, without citing any evidence, that both his predecessor and his opponent in the 2016 election committed "illegal acts".
“With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel appointed!”
The Great Uniter ! (And speller).
Hey, nothing brings people together like casually accusing them of commiting crimes.
