Is Trump 'losing it'?

I didn't know this until today.  Evidently Trump's dad fell into a state of dementia and eventually died of Alzheimer's disease.  Is that true?  If so, there is a genetic link that really should be addressed.  After all, we did witness Ronald Reagan suffer through the same thing during the last couple of years of his presidency.  On the positive side, Reagan had a supportive and engaged wife and surrounded himself with people that understood how the world worked.

Can we say the same thing about Donald Trump?

Re: Is Trump 'losing it'?

Trump's father did have according to reports Alzheimers for the last 6 years of his life. His father died at the ripe old age of 93 which by its very nature (the aging process) takes many minds in different levels.

I would not make too much of any connection  to Alzheimers , but Trump certainly has some real issues that seem to have surfaced more as he is President and open to more scrutiny about his personal behavior traits.

Trump's instability may spell our doom. Or, our salvation.
His views are malevolent, and his conduct might ultimately prove criminal. But we, are protected, for a time at least, by the enormity of his stupidity.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

There are leaders who thrive on harvesting competing ideas and leaders who in no way want to be challenged. Trump is in the later group. It is NOT a good thing for promoting good ideas and is actually destructive of the same. He is a my way or the highway which has worked in business for many, but has no place in a free nation. If this tactic does not work for him, he will find himself more and more detached from not only the people but even his own party. It could make for even more of a fierce reaction. It likely will be his (and perhaps the GOP) undoing.

Wow ! ! !

A narcissistic, authoritarian, egomaniac with dementia.

Sounds like a bad LSD trip . . . but it's happening in the Oval Office in 2017 . . . not a college apartment in 1967.

Donald Trump represents the entire package.  Historians many years from now will have fun with this guy, and lucky us, we get to live through it.
