The White House Will Keep Its Visitor Logs Secret

Wheras there is the right to keep from public purview exactly what is always discussed at the White House, there is no valid reason to not allow the visitor log to be public.

So much for transparency.

I guess that we will just have to trust The Dear Leader.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

It is difficult to trust someone who says one thing one day and then something completely different the next.

Lawsuit seeks White House visitor logs

http://www.readingeagle.com/ap/article/lawsuit-seeks-white-house-visitor-logs

A coalition of government watchdog groups plans to sue the Trump administration on Monday.Among the plaintiffs in the lawsuit is Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, the same group whose legal actions led to a settlement with the Obama administration in 2009, opening up the White House visitor logs for the first time.

"It is crucial to understand who is potentially influencing the decision-making of the president, particularly when you have a White House that tends to lean toward secret decision-making," said Noah Bookbinder, the organization's executive director.

What's big deal with making the people that go in and out of the "People's House" a secret?  It should be public knowledge.  We own the damn thing.

It's something about a new administration wanting to keep stuff secret. Obama administration did the same thing and they were sued and then started releasing the logs on a predetermined schedule. Something like every 60 or 190 days.

Trump administration is going to be sued and will have eventually release the logs. People should be able to see who is visiting the White House if they have an interest.
