E-mail from the DCCC early voting going on in Georgia now. SOS send money now!
BREAKING: Republican turnout SURGES in Georgia
We’re worried.
Yesterday was the best early voting day for the Republicans.
It’s clear their expensive efforts to turn out their base before Election Day are actually working!
That’s why we’re more motivated than ever to keep our lead.
We only have until midnight to fully fund our turnout efforts. If grassroots Democrats step up now, we’ll hand Trump an embarrassing loss.
Can we count on your $1 to defeat Republicans in Georgia and nationwide?
Thank you,
DCCC

We’ll be blunt:
Right now, we’re neck-and-neck with Republicans in the Georgia special election.
It’s all going to come down to turnout.
That’s why we’re throwing everything we’ve got at this race to get EVERY. SINGLE. DEMOCRAT. to the polls.
We could really win this thing -- and hand Trump a MASSIVE loss. But we can’t make that happen without grassroots support.
Will you chip in $1 before midnight to defeat Republicans in Georgia and nationwide?

BREAKING: Republicans launch $5.5 million in ads in Georgia special election
Are you following Georgia closely?!
FIRST: Republicans panicked when they realized they could lose.
THEN: They launched a whopping 6-figure ad buy to destroy Democrats’ chances.
NOW: Republicans are closing in on our early vote lead.
We can still win -- and hand Trump an EMBARRASSING loss.
But it’ll only happen if every single Democrat votes.
So we’re asking you to fund our final push before Election Day. We still need 4,481 gifts before midnight.
Will you chip in $1 to defeat Republicans in Georgia and nationwide?

What specific issues, policies, and positions separate the candidates? Hard to say who I'd support until I see that.

So, Im guessing that these are mailings from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee urging Democrats to vote in the Georgia 6th district special election. (Probably the first time a national outfit from either party has done such a thing - Sarcasm alert )
And I assume that they are posted here because Common finds these efforts sinister, inappropriate, funny?
Or maybe he just has something in his eye.
Here's some background on the district for those who think beyond team jersey's.
The 6th Congressional District of Georgia will hold a special election for the U.S. House of Representatives on April 18, 2017. If no candidate receives at least 50 percent of the vote in the initial April election, the top two, regardless of party affiliation, will advance to a runoff election on June 20.
Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rates this race as a race to watch. Although it is normally a safe Republican district, polling and spending in the district indicates a competitive race. The election will replace Tom Price (R), who was confirmed as U.S. secretary of health and human services. Prior to his cabinet appointment, Price represented the 6th District from 2005 to 2017.[5] Eighteen candidates filed to run in the race: 11 Republicans, five Democrats, and two independents. A traditional primary election will not be held in the race. Instead, all candidates will compete in a special election on April 18, 2017.[6][7][8]
The special election will be the second congressional election since Donald Trump's election to the presidency in November 2016.
Republican presidential candidates won the district by double-digit margins in every election from at least 2000 through 2012, whereas Trump won by 1.5 percentage points in 2016. Trump's average margin of victory in congressional districts that he won was 23.2 percent. Comparatively, Barack Obama lost the district by margins of 23.3 percent and 18 percent in 2012 and 2008, respectively.[9] Trump's relative unpopularity in the district in 2016 signaled to the Democratic Party that they could potentially pick up the seat in the special election.
Former incumbent Tom Price (R) won re-election in the district by a margin of 23.4 percent in 2016, despite Trump's unpopularity in the district. This was the smallest margin that Price ever won re-election by during his 12 years in Congress. Prior to 2016, Price won re-election by margins of over 30 percent in each congressional election.[10]
John Ossoff is the Democratic front-runner in the race. He received endorsements from a number of Democratic members of Congress, including Georgia Reps. Hank Johnson and John Lewis. Ossoff was also endorsed by former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes. Heading into the April 18 special election, Ossoff leads the field in polling, hovering around 40 percent. It is expected that Ossoff will advance to the runoff election to be held on June 20, 2017, if no candidate receives over 50 percent of the vote in the special election. Ossoff released his first quarter fundraising figures on April 5, 2017, reporting $8.3 million in donations with $2.1 million remaining cash on hand.
Campaign themes
The following issues are listed on Ossoff's campaign website.
“
Our Economy: Jon is a small business owner, executive, and entrepreneur — the CEO of a company that produces documentaries investigating organized crime and political corruption. He knows what it means to grow a company, meet a payroll, and balance budgets. Jon has a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, where he specialized in trade relations between the US and China.
Health Care: It is in our strong national interest that every American have quality, affordable health care. Whether it’s a newborn just home from the hospital, a mother battling cancer, or a veteran returned from overseas, our health isn’t negotiable. Our quality of life, our strength, and our prosperity depend on it.
Civil Liberties & Civil Rights: Throughout our history, patriots, abolitionists, civil libertarians, suffragettes, and civil rights heroes have made huge sacrifices to advance liberty and justice for all. We should continue striving together toward a more perfect union. Jon will fight for our civil liberties to ensure that every American is free to determine the course of their own life so long as they don’t harm others. Jon will oppose cynical attempts by politicians to win elections by undermining Americans’ hard-fought, sacred voting rights.
Women’s Health & Planned Parenthood: Jon will defend women’s access to contraception and a woman’s right to choose and fight any legislation or executive action that would allow insurance companies to discriminate against women.
National Security: Jon is a former national security professional who understands the threats America faces and the complexity of international politics. When he was a national security staffer on Capitol Hill, Jon held a top secret security clearance and worked with our military and intelligence community to keep Georgians safe. In Congress, Jon will push for a tough, smart foreign policy that protects our national security while avoiding reckless, destabilizing missteps like the Iraq War.

Karen Handel appears to be the Republican front runner.
From her website:
Abortion
I am Pro-life and believe that life begins at conception
Health Care
Obamacare is the single biggest intrusion into the lives of Americans in decades. Healthcare costs and insurance premiums have skyrocketed. Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with market-based, patient-centered reforms.
Immigration
True national security means securing our borders. The current immigration system is broken, and we MUST fix it. We need to build a wall along our southern border
Economy
As a member of Congress, I will fight for a fairer simpler tax structure with lower rates for families and businesses. I will also work aggressively to achieve passage of legislation to implement a complete, rolling audit of all regulations -- agency by agency -- along with a 10 year sunset rule for regulations.
Defense
. I support President Trump's budget proposal to increase national defense spending,

I would go with Ossoff. I've said it many, many times that I feel national defense, education, and healthcare are basic human rights should be considered national priorities in America. Healthcare and education should not be considered mere privileges, but rights.
I would never vote for someone who believes other wise. Medical insurance should not be run as an employer-based, for-profit industry and education is vital to the future of a democratic society.
