ISIS comments on president Trump

Islamic State says U.S. 'being run by an idiot'

CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State said on Tuesday the United States was drowning and "being run by an idiot".

In the first official remarks by the group referring to President Donald Trump since he took office, spokesman Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer said:

"America you have drowned and there is no savior, and you have become prey for the soldiers of the caliphate in every part of the earth, you are bankrupt and the signs of your demiseare evident to every eye."

"... There is no more evidence than the fact that you are being run by an idiot who does not know what Syria or Iraq or Islam is," he said in a recording released on Tuesday on messaging network Telegram.

Trump has made defeating Islamic State a priority of his presidency.

U.S.-backed forces are fighting to retake Islamic State's two biggest cities - Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria.

"Die of spite America, die of spite, a nation where both young and old are racing to die in the name of God will not be defeated," al-Muhajer said.

Trump is examining ways to accelerate the U.S.-led coalition campaign that U.S. and Iraqi officials say has so far been largely successful in uprooting Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria.

The loss of Mosul, Islamic State's last major stronghold in Iraq, would deal a major defeat to Islamic State.

U.S. and Iraqi officials are preparing for smaller battles after the city is recaptured and expect the group to go underground to fight as a traditional insurgency.

Re: ISIS comments on president Trump

So what.......... They mock Obama over and over. It's what they do.

Sep 22, 2014 - ISIS taunts Obama, encourages attacks on U.S., other countries ... Muhammad al-Adnani also taunted U.S. President Barack Obama.

Remember this?

President Obama declared Tuesday that next week’s climate change summit in Paris would be a “powerful rebuke” to terrorists, speaking alongside French President Francois Hollande at a joint news conference. “Next week, I will be joining President Hollande and world leaders in Paris for the global climate conference,” Obama said during his prepared remarks, which focused mostly on the efforts to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

“What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be, when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children,” he added.

OMG!

Not blaming Obama just pointing out what an enemy of the United States does and what Obama said on the subject.
My post (#2) is 100% correct.
All you do is rant and rave about trump.......... Talk about drinking kool aid! The democratic kool aid

Yes, actions of Presidents DO aid ISIS and their messages to help recruit followers.

Re: ISIS comments on president Trump

One thing we do know that ISIS is not a JV team.

"I directed the Department of Defense to develop a plan to demolish and destroy ISIS – a network of lawless savages that have slaughtered Muslims and Christians, and men, women, and children of all faiths and beliefs," he said."
Yup I bet there are many standing in line right now.

Re: ISIS comments on president Trump

If I were bent on organizing a terrorist group to fight, I'd first convince potential followers that someone else is out to kill you.  Since most of my potential followers would be Muslim, it would help me recruit if my adversary was openly anti-Muslim.  Donald Trump fits right into my plan to recruit more people.

So far he is the poster boy for recruitment whether he understands that or not.

Re: ISIS comments on president Trump

No one knew how much of a train wreck trump would be.
Even ISIS cannot believe their good fortune

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

True.
I suggest that we follow Common's example.

I have always admired the even-handedness, fairness, and nuanced approach that Common has taken when discussing Obama or Clinton here over the years.
(Extreme sarcasm alert.)
