Let's Face it

Let's face it, fellow exchangers, Donald Trump is running the USA as if it were a family business.  Period.  It's as simple as that.

This stat just in :  His top 27 White House people are wealthier than 86% of the counties across America that voted for him.  That's what I call draining the swamp and installing a plutocratic oligarchy in place of a democracy of, by, and for the people.  But, hey, I said this before ................ as a nation, we had a good run for +/- 200 years or so.

Re: Let's Face it

The LA Times has begun a 4 part Op-ed about Trump's presidency. You can access parts 1 & 2 through this link.

http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-ed-our-dishonest-president/

Part 3 will come out Tuesday and Part 4 Wednesday.

Neither Trump nor any of his surrogates have yet to comment, but, based on his previous tendencies to fire off a juvenile tweetstorm tantrum against the media in general, I expect him to attack the paper and its editors for its "fake news". Maybe, just maybe, the LA Times factchecked, reasoned, and rational analysis of Trump's inability to manage and lead our representative republic will turn some heads and change some minds.

But, I doubt it. Trump arrogance coupled with voter ignorance have, thus far, carried the game.

Read the articles.  Thanks for 'heads-up'.  What's even just as troubling are the Trump worshipers who chipped in with comments at the end of each piece.  Sigh.  How can you even have a conversation with those people?

Re: Let's Face it

This about sums it up for me:

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a fiercely defiant statement on Tuesday, the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, denied that any member of the White House staff has ever worked “in any way, shape, or form” for the benefit of the United States.

Angrily addressing the press corps, Spicer said that any allegations that members of the Trump Administration have ever acted in concert or collusion with the United States are “unequivocally false.”

“At no time during the transition or afterward did any member of the Trump team have meetings, conversations, or any other contacts that furthered the interests of the United States of America,” Spicer said. “In the thousands of communications that took place, the United States never came up even once.”

Drawing a stark contrast with the Administration of former President Barack Obama, Spicer said that many members of Obama’s staff were “clearly and flagrantly working for the United States government at all times.”

“President Trump has put an end to that,” he said.In closing, Spicer said that the recent effort to pass the Republican health-care bill should silence “once and for all” those trying to link the Trump Administration to the United States government. “If you look at the interaction between the White House and congressional Republicans, there is absolutely no evidence of coördination,” he said.

Assuming the earth is able to spin another 1,309 times, we'll have a chance to undo the Trump mistake. It's the beauty of America. We can do dumb things and correct them down the road.

I think you're going to see a lot of different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. - President Donald J. Trump

Maybe he will hand the NEXT POTUS the same mess as Obama inherited.
