It's good to be back ? ? ?
After two weeks of island time and Caribbean sun, it's sooooo good to be back to the BS going on in our federal government.
Blame game, gridlock, and an unqualified president with a dismal job approval rating of 36%.
It's good to be exposed to the fact that there are other things going on in the world that are totally unrelated to our f'd up partisan political sideshow and our unprepared orange ringmaster.
I need another Cruzan rum painkiller.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

1. We've discovered a very powerful check on this president's power,,,, his own incompetence.
2. The daily tracking poll shows that even some Trump voters have figured they've been had.

Yeah . . . After enjoying a couple of weeks with beautiful clear blues skies, fresh clean air, and the sparkling clear Caribbean Sea, there's nothing more some ignorant people would like to see than scrapping rules designed to protect the environment for all of us ("nonsense" according to you). Advocating for an archaic, highly polluting fuel source, that is inefficient, and will not be a job producing industry (Un like responsible, forward looking, environmentally friendly, renewable energy sources) is merely partisan political pandering to a very small base of supporters.
As for me, I'd rather that my grandchildren would be able to enjoy swimming, fishing, diving, snorkeling in the sea. Hiking, biking, skiing in the mountains. And just being able to go outside and play and being able to breathe clean air.
In your world, the future is everyone will be required to wear respirators when they step outside. The result of the Trump environmental "plan".
I hope my view of the future prevails over yours.

Mackie Branham has advanced stage black lung and was forced to quit mining earlier this year.
He is also left gasping for air and grasping for words. He worked hard to feed his family and now, as his life leaves him one breath at a time, he wonders about the cost.
Branham has "never been scared of death," he says, as he chokes back tears. "It don't bother me a bit. It's just not seeing my kids grow up. But if I had it to do over I would do it again, if that's what it took to provide for my family as long as I have."
Branham hopes for a lung transplant, which may give him five to 10 more years of life.
