I think that it is time for a special prosecutor.
Trump wants an investigation. Let's give him one.
Investigate Trump's claim that Obama wiretapped him.
Investigate Trump's Russia Ties.
Investigate Trump's tax returns.
Investigate Trump's mental state.
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

The mark of a useless administration is one that seeks to place blame for the past as opposed to taking responsibility for the future.

It is beyond incredulous that a sitting President can without supplying ANY confirmation ask for a Congressional investigation on ANYTHING let alone the charge made and SIMILARLY that Congress would acquiesce to s specific investigation without any evidence being supplied. It is like what happens in Banana Republics.
However, it looks like at least FBI Director Comey wants to set the record straight and put down the President's lie.
BTW, I have NO PROBLEM with an investigation into the whole Russian interference and the ties to our government and businesses. It SHOULD be done. But we have a sitting President that is acting like a third world dictator and being supported by an inner circle and influencers that actually seem to encourage it.

Using fear, diversion, and deflection has been on startlingly uncompromising display by all members of the Trump staff and the president himself. The question is, why does it seem Trump has this overwhelming need to control the public's view of him as a leader? One could say it is because of his narcissistic, egotistical, controlling, authoritarian personality. Or maybe it is just because he doesn't want anyone to recognize his shortcomings and apparent inability to responsibly perform the functions of the office to which he was elected. In either case, it does not bode well for the future of our country and all of its citizens.
