Photo contradicts Pelosi's statement about not meeting Kislyak

Photo contradicts Pelosi's statement about not meeting Kislyak

The Democratic House leader sat with the Russian ambassador and other officials in 2010.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday that she's never met with the current Russian ambassador, Sergey Kislyak."Not with this Russian ambassador, no," Pelosi told POLITICO's Jake Sherman and Anna Palmer during a Playbook interview, when asked whether she had ever met with the Russian envoy.

But a file photo from Pelosi's 2010 meeting with Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev shows Kislyak at the table across from Pelosi — then House speaker — and Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.). Medvedev had been in the country for a meeting with President Barack Obama a day earlier and stopped in on Capitol Hill to meet with congressional leaders as well.

You poor, silly little man.

It wasn't about meeting the Russian Ambassador.
It was about lying about your contacts with the Russians while they were attempting to manipulate an American election in your favor.

Yes, it is not illegal or uncommon for any political figure to meet with any foreign official, but lying about it is a problem and in the case of Flynn and now apparently Kushner, in addition to their reasons for not being forthright they might have committed a criminal offense that being violating the Logan Act. And on top of that there is the question of Russian influence on the election that still has to be thoroughly flushed out.

I was waiting for this to come up.  This was a whoopee-do with a gagillion people sitting around schmoozing with eachother at some kind of public event 7 years ago.  Alot different from private meetings with Russian mucky-mucks during a presidential campaign.

OMG, I just found a photo of another Democrat meeting with a Russian.

So, obviously, this "proves" that there can't be anything sinister behind the secret meetings that  Candidate Team Trump had with a hostile nation while it was hacking and passing misinformation on the opposing party  in 2016. And the fact that Two Trump staffers (so far) have been caught lying about those contacts is of no concern at all. After all, Democrats have talked to Russians in the past.

Or, something like that.  My head hurts. Now I know what they mean by tortured reasoning.

Me so smart!
