President Trump's speech

President Trump just body slammed the democratic "Resist" movement. It was a combination brain-buster and Inverted atomic drop.  Have you watched any of the responses from the democratic party to the speech? Oh my beyond weak.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,”  former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Re: President Trump's speech

"Brain buster"? "Inverted atomic drop"?
Excuse me, but what does that mean? You see, I am from the community where words mean things.

Common is a perfect example of the adage that a man hears what he wants to hear.

Trump read a speech. He avoided the insane ranting that he engages in at his tractor pull rallies.

He will get a bump in the polls for appearing less stark raving mad than usual.

And, we will see the real Trump again soon enough. The pivot won't stick.

BTW, common, what policy proposals did you find especially well thought out and brainbusteresque?
What did you find inspiringly body slammyish?

Please enlighten me how these comments relate to the so-called 'unifying' message delivered by Trump last night?

Re: President Trump's speech

With language like that I was left wondering if Common had  mistakenly  watched the world wrestling foundation and thought it was trumps speech

Re: President Trump's speech

This is simple to understand.  Example:

Uncle Bob has been showing signs he's becoming completely unhinged for the last couple of months, but today he seemed less unglued.  A poll is taken among family members and neighbors about the perception of Uncle Bob.  "Gee, he seems more normal today."

Re: President Trump's speech

Overall the most sane speech he has given, but short on details and manipulative of actual facts in some instances. Can Trump actually pivot to being a voice of ALL America. We will see. He still has a LOT to prove to many. Mere words are just that.

Re: President Trump's speech

I won't lie. Parts of Trump's speech was very well done. I do find it ironic that when Obama gave an inspirational speech, people would say that it was all Tele-Promp-ters and fluff.

Trump lost me when he moved into the whole, "Immigrants are going to kill you and everyone you love" part of the speech.

I thought there was very little substance around health care and immigration reform and some of the promises around massive tax cuts and trillion dollar infrastructure investments doesn't pass the smell test for me.

Overall, I don't care about the speech. I am more interested in results and I just don't think Trump can deliver.

I think you're going to see a lot of different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. - President Donald J. Trump

I would tend to agree. Hard to imagine getting that trillion dollar infrastructure plan, and the utopian healthcare vision through a republican Congress.

He read a speech.
