BTW, here is a YDR article that details how the State today subsidizes the different school districts in York County and how under the proposed Wolf plan it would initially be.
When you combine the above current 62.95 Million and divide it by the student population (about 5800) it comes to about 10,853 / student that the State is currently supplying. According to the article below, the average spent per student is 12,797 thus the State appears to be already supplying a vast majority of the funding.

I wouldn't automatically reject the Wolf plan.
Property tax relief is a good thing.
The history of this effort suggests that complete abolition of property taxes might not be a realistic goal.

The problem with Wolf's plan is that we know we will not get the property tax relief that he and his administration are saying that we will get. We've been through this already with Ed Rendell and the casino scheme, and this will be much worse because we'll be stuck with higher income and sales taxes on top of property taxes. I can't believe people would actually fall for this again.

Fair enough. So what do you want to do?

I already told you what I want to do. Scrap property taxes entirely, dollar for dollar replacement with income tax and/or sales tax. Everyone with an income and who purchases things pays, not just people who own or rent property.

Sales tax. That way everyone pays.

Agreed. That is preferable, but I would be fine with income tax, or a combination of income and sales taxes replacing property taxes as well.

What amount of sales tax would replace the money raised from property taxes?

I don't know, I'm not paid to figure that out, let the politicians who are paid handsomely figure that out. Just do it though, it would lower the tax burden for property owners, and everyone would pay their share.

Good question. Answers? I'm not opposed to the idea. Just would like to hear a proposal.
