The Sanders arm of the DNC are really upset again. Perez announced right after the vote that Ellison is the "co-chair" of the DNC to try and ease the upset. People are very unhappy with the "establishment' on both sides.
ATLANTA (CNN) Progressive activists lashed out at the Democratic Party on Saturday after their choice to lead its national committee, Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, was defeated by former Obama administration Labor Secretary Tom Perez in a tight and unexpectedly contentious contest. After the results were announced, angry Ellison loyalists rose from their seats in the back of the ballroom at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel and tried to shout down outgoing interim chair Donna Brazile, chanting, "Party for the people, not big money!"

Ok, it's fair and truthful to say there were Ellison loyalists in the crowd, there were Perez loyalists in the crowd, and the Ellison loyalists were pissed, while I'm guessing most were like me and thought either guy would be ok.
But, when it comes to a juicy story, no one is going to give a rat's carcass about me and those who felt the same way because it would be a boring story to interview someone who says, "I'm fine with either guy."
And while I'm at it, thanks Doug, for your rational analysis.

Wait till Trump tries to actually get some of his legislation through Congress and we will see just how united the R-tribe is. It is one thing to sign EO's and another to get things actually passed.
There are still deep divisions in the R-tribe.

Absolutely, there are deep division within both parties. If you look at Common's original post, he said just that, but that part of his post was ignored
