Not good for our Democracy !
A sitting President who
Criticizes the media when they have anything contrary to his position
Attacking the Judiciary repeatedly
God help us !
This is NOT the democracy we strove years to maintain.

It is truly alarming.
The administration's brazen lying about, well, everything.
Their attempts to disparage and independent Judiciary.
Their attempts to supplant a free press with their own propaganda.
The fear mongering.
It all has fascist undertones.
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

What else is not good for Democracy, and I've seen this firsthand, is the fact that voters get whipped up into a frenzy before elections, and then once "their guy" is elected and in place, they willfully ignore or do not follow the issues at all. You could mention the most crazy thing Trump has said or done, and they have no clue as to what you're talking about. They aren't concerned anymore about anything, the mind gets shut off, they go back to their daily lives, and the rest of us are stuck dealing with a 3 year old 70 year old for 4 years.

Truly. Citizenship is a daily activity.
Too many people have the idea that casting an uninformed vote every four years fulfills their duty

Too true. If it isn't on Facebook, it isn't worth knowing about.
What also troubles me is the folks whipping voters into a frenzy.
They couldn't care less about the long-term effects.
They turn us against each-other to get a vote then, as you said, no one keeps track of what's going on. All they care about is their hatred of each other.
If you make yourself miserable trying to make others happy that means everyone is miserable.
