What did all of you think of the half time show at the Super Bowl this year with Lady GaGa ?
It was really hyped up ahead of time and maybe because of that I was a little disappointed. I am not sure exactly why I felt that way as it was overall a good performance. I guess I just expected too much. In the local St Augustine Record this weekend was an article that rated the 10 best Super Bowl halftimes and in thinking back of the stars and the shows I still felt a number of them eclipsed the current show.
Other thoughts ?

I don't know a whole lot about Lady Gaga and her music, although the few times I have seen her, she definitely seems pretty talented.
I thought it was a pretty straightforward, solid performance. I don't think it was as good at Katy Perry's show a couple of years ago or the Bruno Mars/Red Hot Chili Peppers show, but I certainly can't complain about it.

Hope I did not come off complaining about it. I guess I just heard too much hype initially.
I loved her choice of songs particularly Woodie Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land" .
A very striking commentary about today's world as well as what Woodie saw way back then. People sometimes dismiss this as just as a "God Bless America" song, but it is much more than that when you read and understand the entire lyrics that Woodie wrote.
This Land Is Your Land
Words and Music by Woody Guthrie
This land is your land This land is my land
From California to the New York island;
From the red wood forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and Me.
As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway:
I saw below me that golden valley:
This land was made for you and me.
I've roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
And all around me a voice was sounding:
This land was made for you and me.
When the sun came shining, and I was strolling,
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,
As the fog was lifting a voice was chanting:
This land was made for you and me.
As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.
In the shadow of the steeple I saw my people,
By the relief office I seen my people;
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking
Is this land made for you and me?
Nobody living can ever stop me,
As I go walking that freedom highway;
Nobody living can ever make me turn back
This land was made for you and me.

I understand that it was very much an angry retort to God Bless America

This article give some credence to that belief and also says why those verses may have not been put on the final version for public consumption.

I understand that there was quite the kerfuffle on Twitter as trolls made fun of Lady Gaga's stomach, and suggested that she needs to lose weight. Some of it was quite cruel.
I think she looks fine.
America. Where woman can get body shamed with health and beauty advice from this guy.

She doesn't need to lose weight.
But fifteen minutes of ab crunching a day wouldn't hurt.

Wonder how many women wish they had a body like hers ?
She is fine the way she is.
