Who will it be? It seems the top 2 possibilities are: Neil Gorsuch or Thomas Hardiman.

Re: Trump set to name Supreme Court pick on Tuesday

Looks like the trumpers are speeding this up in hopes of changing the subject from their disastrous weekend.

Coming to primetime?
Is he gonna have the rockettes and Wayne Newton at the announcement?

The left was just trumped again!

Trump's heartland voters shrug off global uproar over immigration ban

Many of President Donald Trump’s core political supporters had a simple message on Sunday for the fiercest opponents of his immigration ban: Calm down.

The relaxed reaction among the kind of voters who drove Trump’s historic upset victory - working- and middle-class residents of Midwest and the South - provided a striking contrast to the uproar that has gripped major coastal cities, where thousands of protesters flocked to airports where immigrants had been detained.

Well, we knew that Trump's hard core people wanted a Muslim ban.

One can only hope that, whoever the nominee is, and whoever is confirmed by the legislature, that the person becomes another Anthony Kennedy while on the bench and making reasonable, non-partisan, non-political, and astute decisions.

We can do without another Scalia. Or Thomas. Or Alito.

Re: Trump set to name Supreme Court pick on Tuesday

I hate to say this because I've said for years that I hate how the Congress has bottlenecked every single aspect of our government and I also believe presidents should be given deference to cabinet nominees and their SCOTUS picks.

But based on the reporting that has come out of this past weekend, where a federal judge's ruling that detainees held at airports must be given access to lawyers but was not enforced by the Trump administration, tells me that the administration does not believe in the legal system or is unwilling to enforce the law.

Therefore, I do not trust that the President is offering to put someone on the court who will uphold the law and the constitution.

I do hope the Democrats do everything within their ability to block the nominee until such time that Trump shows an understanding of the justice system in the United States.

I think you're going to see a lot of different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. - President Donald J. Trump

I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just wrote.
The weekend was a disater for the trumpers. They managed to look cruel, intolerant, lawless,,,, and incompetent,,, all at the same time.
