Re: From the Conservative Cato Institute

Trump's EO on immigration was equivalent to him suggesting that we should have cake and ice cream when we celebrate someone's birthday to his most ardent supporters. The fact that celebratory cake and ice cream has already been established is of little consequence to those people. Where Trump went wrong was that the context, randomness, and consequence of his identifying certain people from certain countries being designated for "extreme vetting" shows a stunning disregard for established immigration policy, and his total ignorance of the international indignities caused by his ill thought out circus presentation of these EO's.

Re: From the Conservative Cato Institute

"Personally, I consider them loathsome and wish our government wasn't so friendly toward them." Tim

Please enlighten me as to how, what, and why you came to the above stated conclusion concerning people from Saudi Arabia. What direct knowledge do you have about the country, its government, and its people?

Please be specific, don't answer with a question, don't merely deflect, don't take offense, and please don't resort to name calling, Tim.       Thanks.

Re: From the Conservative Cato Institute

I'd be interested in an answer as well.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
