Most claims about Trump’s visa Executive Order are false or misleading
Debunking the supposed “Muslim Ban” and other accusations-gone-wild.
Yesterday Donald Trump signed an Executive Order on refugees and visa entry procedures. You should read the actual EO, because most of the media and leftist pundits either have not or are lying if they have. There are some stark policy difference about immigration and refugees over which people can disagree — those were argued at length during the election season. But the hyperbole and frenzy being exhibited in the media and by leftist pundits is hyperbole at best, fakery and lying at worst.

Good grief, at least cite an actual source.

CNN sure isn't a reliable source, but if you can refute the actual text of the EO as they report, let us know.

Actually, Fred posted an excellent article on the EO.
You might want to read it.
Although I suspect that you prefer material that tells you what you already 'know'.
And, where did the CNN dig come from?

The EO was an administrative disaster - not well thought out at all. But what else is new ?
It denies access from 7 countries that have thus far had almost NO terrorist activities in the US yet allows the nations that were the foremost suppliers of terrorists in the worst terrorists attack on our nation in history. Likely the latter were not banned because of Trump business interests there. Can we spell hyprocricsy ? Add to that, the current vetting process is pretty darn thorough. I imagine all the Trumpers don't even understand the CURRENT process OR be able to explain just what enhancements will come from "extreme vetting". Maybe they want to compare and contrast it for us

Current procedure for an immigrant to obtain a visa to enter the U.S.:
Trump's EO does nothing more to "enhance" this established procedure other than pepper his statement with nebulous terms like "instruct" another government official to carry out this procedure. His claims of further protecting the American people and preventing entry of unsavory characters by fully scrutinizing their backgrounds and asking them questions about their affiliations, position on abortion, women's rights, LGBT rights, if they support terrorism, and if they support the U.S. Constitution are nothing more than transparent attempts to put a cherry on top of one of his granfalloon campaign promises for the benefit of his ignorant ardent supporters. The procedures are already established and formalized. His EO was just a P.T. Barnum sideshow event designed to further ingratiate him to his base. His error was to selectively pick and choose (based on his personal preference rather than verifiable information) people from specific countries that he personally identified as terrorists prior to the process being completed for those individuals.
Maybe, just maybe, the backlash from prominent members of his own party and the rebukes by several courts declaring his action unlawful, will bring him to his senses.
But, I doubt it.
It's going to be an interesting 4 years.

Me too !
(Somehow I don't think they have a clue about what "extreme vetting" really is vs what happens today)
