Quote o’ the Day (William Tecumseh Sherman Edition)

Quote o’ the Day (William Tecumseh Sherman Edition)
“The American press is a shame and a reproach to a civilized people. When a man is too lazy to work and too cowardly to steal, he becomes an editor and manufactures public opinion.”

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,”  former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Last week, in reaction to the women's march, you disdained the freedom to assemble.
Today you disparage a free press.

Tell me, what part of the Bill of Rights is next in your sights?

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

By the way, William Tecumseh Sherman was also quoted as saying this:

"The voice of the people is the voice of humbug."
