Stay tuned. I gotta feeling Trump is going to blow the recent presidents' away, but of course, we won't hear about it:
President Trump signed a record number of executive orders and presidential memoranda his first week in office — a total of 14 compared to President Obama's 13. But something is noticeably absent from those directives — ethics for the executive branch.
Presidents Clinton, George W. Bush and Obama all took executive action their first week in office to send a signal to the American public about their commitment to ethics. President Bush signed a presidential memorandum about the standards of ethical conduct, including no conflicts of interest, no solicitations of gifts and a reminder of laws that say senior government employees can't immediately lobby the agencies they worked for.

The Trumpers don't care.
Everything they said about the rule of law, executive orders, transparency, private servers, trustworthiness,,,,,,,it was all crap.
They got their strongman, and they will cheer anything that Il Duce does.

I don't think Executive Orders are a good thing, for any president. I'm pretty certain we will hear about them with Trump in office though, as we already have in his first week in office. The media has a fixation, an obsession with Trump, just as they did ever since he first announced he was running for president, and the publicity was a big help in him getting elected, so we will hear about every little detail while he is in office, from every time he farts and coughs, to every time he signs an executive order, to every time he signs or vetoes legislation.

Truth be told, the press covers every little detail of every president.
Trump is getting more critical attention at this point, because of his own actions,,, and his strategy of maintaining an adversarial relationship to keep his base frothing.
Of course, the topic of the thread really isn't the media, but Trump's executive orders, and the lack of criticism by his fans, who once disdained executive orders.
To Fred's point. I have not seen, nor do I anticipate seeing rage about EO from the trumpers like they piously directed towards Obama

I wonder why that is ?
It shows that they are indeed two-faced.

I am concerned with the ever increasing use of Executive Orders by recent Presidents. They should be used sparingly. I would only like to see them used to reverse previous Executive Orders.

The difference too between Trump's EOs and most of the other president's EOs is the lack of thought, compassion, necessity or reason. Put a pen in the guy's hands and he's signing anything and everything put in front of him. And don't we just love how he has to turn every just-signed document's folder towards the camera for all to see?

Anyone care to make a prediction about pardons?

It may not be a good idea to paint all EO options with a broad brush. As the thread starter article I posted said, Clinton, GW Bush, and Obama used their first options using the EO centering primarily around ethical behavior of senior government employees as described in the second paragraph of the initial post on the topic. I think we can all agree those were positive ideas.
